Chris L. Chaplin, CFP®
Financial Planner and Advisor
Before entering the financial industry, I spent 23 years at Chevron in engineering and business management, working in the US and overseas. Because I’ve already had a full career outside of the financial industry, I have personal experiences with the complexities of benefits, retirement plans, and long-term planning.
Through careful planning and applying logical, process-based thinking – the same skills I apply to my clients – I decided to change careers to Financial Planning to use my experience to be able to help people more directly.
I focus primarily on mid- to late-career individuals and families, as well as those navigating difficult transitions such as a planned or forced retirement, divorce, or the loss of a loved one.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner, I have demonstrated competency across the full range of issues affecting your financial life and am required to act as a fiduciary when providing advisory services. I am also a Certified Retirement Counselor, with specialized expertise in retirement preparation and income planning.
I believe that transparency matters, so know that I’m always happy to discuss my compensation and how that drives alignment with your best interests.
I look forward to helping you build wealth, manage risk, and reach your investment and retirement goals!
